Festival Kickoff Reading- Kerry Gilbert and MFA Students

Kerry Gilbert launches her new book, Lady Bird.  Kerry lives in the Okanagan, where she teaches Creative Writing at Okanagan College. Lady Bird is her fourth collection.  She has won the Gwendolyn MacEwen Poetry Award for Best Suite by an Emerging Writer and has been shortlisted for ReLit, for the Ralph Gustafson Prize for the Best Poem, for the Pacific Spirit Poetry Contest and for the Gwendolyn MacEwen Poetry for Best Suite by an Established Writer.  www.kerrygilbert.ca 

With Kerry will be seven outstanding emerging poets from the UBC O MFA program: Slava Bart, Juniper Charlesworth, Miriam Cummings, Ronan Fraser, Christine McPhee, Tosh Sherkat, and Amy Wang.  

Chapbook publications will be sold by Broke Press.
